Creating a table by copying an existing table

Post by lreynolds »

I am working my way through the base tutorial and have gotten stuck after step 2 below:

1) Click on the Tables icon in the Database pane to see the existing
tables.
2) Right-click on the CD-Collection table icon. Select Copy from the
context menu.

The paste function is not available. When I right-click the context menu just has two items: select all and database. How do I get it to copy and paste?

3) Move the mouse pointer below this table, right-click, and select
Paste from the context menu. The Copy table window opens.
4) Change the table name to Pop and click Next.

Another way for paste - Main menu Edit>Paste or CTRL+V on keyboard.

Well, that didn't work. I can highlight the table and access the copy function but once I move the mouse pointer and attempt to paste, nothing!
