[Solved] Getting Older Versions Of OpenOffice

Post by reddragon696 »

I really dislike Open Office 4.1.7. because of the drastic changes in the Format. Is there any way to get an older version that still uses the old Format Index?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

The former versions are available at the right side of the download page (link bottom right of this page): Archived and legacy releases in the Additional Resources section.

What do you mean by "old format Index"?

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the *EDIT button if your issue has been fixed.

The old format had everything from Shadow, Overline, Underline, All Caps, First Letter Caps, Outline and a bunch of others. It made it much easier when they were all placed under the Format Button. Now the only thing under that button is Change Case. I noticed that some of the others had been moved to the Right Side of the page but it appears as if a lot of the options have been removed. Thanks for letting me know where to find the older versions.
