Losing documents

Post by kates7723 »

I had an acer computer and used openoffice for documents. I have since purchased a new hp computer and downloaded an upgraded version of openoffice. I am using my older documents as templates and when I am typing on them on the new computer the screen goes blank and the document goes away. I then try to open it again and it needs to be recovered and it does but it just happens again.

thank you

Strange problems are sometimes fixed by resetting the profile - see Resetting the user profile.

Download this file - can you edit it OK?
