Writer keeps crashing when make any changes to doc

Postby Clocktopus » Fri Apr 12, 2019 9:53 pm

Hiya

my Writer doc keeps crashing, i am using a table and this may be when the trouble started, if i open the doc, i type something short a word or two or make a new row and then it crashes over over,
i can't remember but it may have been crashing before i was using the table but not as much
i have read other posts and tried looking for said windows upgrades that can be an issue but they arent on my computer
I tried the user.old
and extension.db file changes
also i tried installing 4.1.4 as was on 4.1.5 before and made no difference
any ideas?
thanks

A Win 10 update some months ago was reported to cause instability problems with OpenOffice; later reports indicated that a more recent Win 10 update cured this. So I suggest you tell Win10 to fully update and see if that improves OpenOffice's stability.

It should not hurt to update Windows 10 completely, in any case.
