Blank sheet opening a .123 file

Post by leomac »

Hello everyone,

I have to open a lotus file, extension .123.
When I open the file, open office asks to insert the font, I leave the standard already selected (Western Europe DOS/OS2-437/US).
The program opens the document but the sheets are all blank. If I save the file with the extension .odt, open office crashes.

What I've to do? Thanks

What makes you think OpenOffice knows how to open lotus 123 fonts?

Look at http://www.zamzar.com and see if their free online conversion service offers 123 to .ods or .xls conversion.

Google for a file conversion site to convert the .123 file to a .ods or xls file.

Buy a copy of Lotus 123 from eBay - it is a few dollars. My Lotus 123 from 1995 runs under Windows 7 without any problems.

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.
