Open documents in separate windows
Is there a setting where I can disable documents opening in tabs rather than an entirely separate window? I really would like my documents to be separate windows.

What kind of documents? OpenOffice Writer documents don't open in tabs. Are you talking about Apache OpenOffice? Your signature names an obsolete version of OpenOffice.org and contains the word "other".

OpenOffice opens each window on top of the previous. All one need do is grab the title bar and pull the top window to one side etc, for all windows.

hmm. I have Neo Office for Mac that is a OS X-tized version of Open Office. I thought the tab stuff was part of the newer releases of Open Office.
So far Open Office and Neo Office have worked the same as far as behind the scenes. I'm surprised that there appears to be a difference now.

I've never used NeoOffice, so I don't know anything about their user interface. OpenOffice has never had a tabbed interface.
