Spell check problem

Post by TalonsPryde »

I loaded up after a shut down and EVERY regular word is underlined in red as if the word is not normal. However, every word or entry I have in my user dictionaries are NOT listed as wrong. Anyone else seeing this or have a suggestion in rectifying this? :alarm:

Rename your OO user profile.

As your Forum .sig says you are using Windows close OpenOffice and the Quickstarter. Open File
Explorer. Copy and paste %appdata%\OpenOffice\4 in the File Explorer (sometimes called Windows Explorer)
Address Bar and press Enter. Rename the "user" folder - "user.old" is a good choice. Start OpenOffice.

This cures almost all spellcheck problems.

This may have happened because of over hasty close down of the computer before internal housekeeping was complete.
