Spell Check doesn't check any words

Hi,

I have the opposite problem from the one most here usually have.

I use OO with an English UI, and in the Language Settings I have set everything else to German.
The problem is, that Spell Check considers every word correct, even the incorrect ones. I suspect that the program doesn't even use a dictionary. I installed an dictionary extender, no use.
And when I open the Spell Check tool, it immediately creates a pop up, see Attchm.

Doesn't matter what I click, the outcome is that that the whole tool will automatically close without me being able to set anything else, which is a problem, since as said I suspect it doesn't even use a dictionary to check.

Please see if [Troubleshooting] Spell check in OpenOffice. and [Tutorial] Spell check and Language configuration provide a solution. You seem to have no text language applied??
