Saving Spreadsheet

When working on spreadsheet and try and save I constantly get a message to say: "Error saving document"; "Write Error" ; and "The file could not be written". I have to delete, retry and then sometimes it saves, or after a couple of tries it saves. Please help!

What is the location you are trying to save it in?
There are some directories that Windows will attempt to keep from writing to in order to preserve Windows operational files.

Russell, I have a document saved in Excel but which I open with Open Office so that I can work/edit it. It now often gives me problems as described when trying to save the changes

@Brent123: "Excel" is an application, not a location. The location is the folder where the file is saved. A typical location would be your "Documents" folder.
