Read-File error

Hi, I'm getting a read-file error also, could someone assist with checking the file, I could send it via PM. Thanks in advance.
A Read File error is very general. There should've been a more detailed error message along with it. If you have the message, please relay it exactly... better yet, take a screenshot of the message and post the screenshot.
Can you open the file at all? If you can what type of file are you opening and what part of OpenOffice is opening it?
Are you seeing a Text Import dialog when trying to open the file?
Do you see a mess of # symbols when you open it?
