Copy and paste issue

Hello friends,

I have used Open Office 3 (Writer) for many years and had no issues, but today I have experienced issues with copying in text from outside of Writer. I can copy and paste text from within a Writer document, even from one Writer document to another, but can't paste in any text from the internet or elsewhere, neither can I copy out any of my text from within Writer documents into external fields such as e-mails, instant messaging or search engines. What's more, even attempting to paste texts into these external fields crashes the internet browser.

Further to this fault, I am also having trouble saving Writer documents. I can open up the "save as" window, enter a document name and click save, but the save button isn't reacting by completing the task. The save as window merely remains in place until cancel is clicked (at which point the document isn't actually saved).

Any help is greatly appreciated

Have you rebooted your computer? Also, check TaskManager (Ctrl Shift Esc); kill all soffice processes you find on TM's tabs.
