Hello,
I just received a .doc document from a friend containing a photo. I would like to enlarge the photo and change the font, but the document has "Read Only" status. Can I change the status of this document so that it is not "Read Only"?
Thank you.

If you save it to a regular document folder, like your desktop or Documents folder, you should be able to edit it.
OpenOffice 4.1 on Windows 10 and Linux Mint

Documents still attached to emails are opened Read Only to protect you. Detach them first.
