[Solved] User profile
I am trying to get the thesaurus in the writer to work. All the advice in the Forum says to go to the User Profile, but I don't know how to find it. Can someone please give me some SIMPLE instructions!

Open Office 3.3 Windows 7
Re: User profile
You signature says you are using OpenOffice 3.3. If that is true, you can get to the user profile by opening any folder and entering the following in the address box near the top
%appdata%\openoffice\3
If you are really using version 4, use
%appdata%\openoffice\4
In either case, that should take you to a folder containing a folder named user. That folder contains the user profile. I believe you have to shutdown OpenOffice to edit anything in the user profile.

Re: User profile
For OpenOffice.org 3.3, I believe you have to enter %appdata%\openoffice.org\3 in the address bar. the ".org" was dropped when the name changed from OpenOffice.org to Apache OpenOffice.
