Saving Documents

Is there a way (setting) to use so that different types store in separate locations? text and spreadsheets are currently storing under the same listing. I would like them in separate listings for quicker access. When I open in the main menu, say Spreadsheet, all of my documents are displayed.

No automatic way of doing it. Set up a parallel series of folders and designate them for documents, spreadsheets etc. Then when you wish to save a specific type of document, using the navigation button on the Save As dialog you just pop up one level, then down into the correct folder.
