[Solved] Crash with AOO 4.1.5
[Solved] Crash with AOO 4.1.5
What's going on? I set up a spreadsheet, I type something in a cell, and within 30 seconds it crashes. I do a recovery, type something, and in 30 seconds it crashes, over and over and over and over............. I'm running Windows 10 on a Dell PC. I don't like version 4.1.5, but that's another issue.

Re: crash
Is this happening with more than one file? What happens in a Writer document as opposed to a Calc one?
It could be one of many thing but the best approach would be to reset the user profile.
At the moment, if you don't like 4.1.5 you could revert to 4.1.4. BTW your signature is out of date. It says you are still on 4.1.1. When did you upgrade to 4.1.5?

Re: Crash with AOO 4.1.5
I don't know if it happens in Writer, I use mostly Calc and was happening in multiple sheets there. I updated to 4.1.4 within a few days of it's release and didn't like it so I re-installed 4.1.3. Then I updated to 4.1.5 within a few days of it's release, found it had the same problem, so tried to re-install 4.1.3, but could not, so I am still with 4.1.5. Today I've had 1 or 2 crashes, but for the most part it seems to be working again. It gets frustrating when you look away for a second and when you look back you're staring at the desktop. Why would it start crashing anyway. The only thing I did was leave the computer alone for a couple of hours with a spreadsheet open and upon my return the crashes started happening. I did turn the computer off overnight (as I usually do) and when I turned on today the problem was fixed. Off and back on I know acts like a reset and can cure a multitude of problems because it forces the computer to reload it's operating system.

Re: [Solved] Crash with AOO 4.1.5
Why is a topic from 2018 for Windows 10 linking to a solution for Windows 7?
The navigation through the two systems in no way resemble each other and the instructions in the solution are useless

The only link I see is to a tutorial that has information for all operating systems, not just Windows 7.
