Lost Document

I had a document I'd not saved, typed in Open Office Writer. My computer did an update overnight, and this morning, the document was gone. I went to Tools/Options/Load/Save/General, and the box for "Save AutoRecovery information every" was checked. I've always had documents that were unsaved, show back up after such an event as an update. I've tried everything I know to find or recover the document, to no avail. Any information would be very helpful. Thanks!
