[Solved] Can't read menus

Hi all, first time poster.

I am 68 and I am having a hard time seeing menu selections for all of the OpenOffice tools.
Is there anyway I can change a configuration file somewhere so that OpenOffice presents fonts in Bold

I had a similar problem with Mozilla Thunderbird mail and there was an add-on that let me change menu font sizes and make them bold.

Have a play with some of the settings under Tools | Options | OpenOffice | View - they may help a bit.
