docx file not opening

i had done one assignment and saved it in libre office few days back. but now when i am opening it I am not able to open. the due date of submitting is today by evening. please help

Were you saving regularly in .docx format?

It is best to always work with .odt files and, if you need to send/submit a .docx file, to only save the finished document in that format.

Every time you open a .docx file in AOO or save a .odt document in .docx format you are translating from one format to another. AOO translators are very good but nothing is perfect. Tiny translation errors can accumulate over multiple opens and saves that may result it a corrupt file.

So the general advice from the Forum is "always work with native OpenOffice formats.
