I have following query regarding dictionary and affix file

I have 3 files, one is affix file i.e .aff file,second one is dictionary file i.e .dic file and third one is hyphenation file.In .dic file the words are given in the format mention below.I also want to know can we do changes in the affix file to make new rules for dictionary? and if yes how can we do that ?

        In above format I am not getting the meaning of 'AM','st','ts' as well as 'AF 2,3 # 2'
        In the .dic file words are given in the format mention below:

        abandoned   1
        abandoner/5 1

        In above format I don't know the meaning of '/' because at some places they used '/' but at some places they were not used '/' I don't know why?.
    In third file which is also .dic file name as hyph_en_GB.dic contain following words:

Look up the Hunspell site for information on this.

OpenOffice could do with a dictionary editing extension that allowed the addition of the affix information.
