[Solved] Shape positons and size are changing by their own

Post by Tarkovsky »

Ok, here We go...
First of all, I'm posting this issue here cause I think it's not just a Calc related issue.

I have a Spreadsheet which has a lot shapes on it. That's because I have written a lot of macros and to call them I thought would be better to design my spreadsheet like that... It looks very good and give to my clients the feeling like they were using a custom program inside Calc. But there is an issue that's driving me crazy ...
When editing it, sometimes I open the file, the shapes on my spreadsheet are not in the same position as before, for example, if I have a rectangle with 1,98 of width and 0,73 of high, when opened again, it changes the width and high to a different value(like 0,68 of high), the same happens to its position. I did set them to be blocked on its position and size and even set the anchor to the page, but it keeps happening, can someone help me?

(In this case I'm using Libreoffice 5.2.7 on Windows)

Do you save in native ODF format?
If you export in an external one, then you may face such glitches.

Yes, it's saved in .ods, but the file was ported from a .xls format, does it matter?

Once you've saved in ODF, I guess that it shouldn't.

The file was originaly created in .xls format, but I opened it in LibreOffice Calc and started aditing and saving in .ods format, so, I'm not using the Excel file format anymore. My question has to do with the ODF document format.

Can you upload a sample file (see How to attach a document here)?
Perhaps it's different in AOO.

After some work I figured out what was the problem: My spreadsheet has a lot of shapes, and I did not set the anchor to the page in some of them, also I changed the measurement unit of Calc to mm instead of cm, cause editing like that was causing some shapes to have a different size.
Thank you guys for helping me, sorry, it was one more lesson I have learned.
