Java for Base - Android

Post by charlie.it »

Ciao, on my Android tablet sometimes I use AndrOpenOffice. It works pretty well, but Base does not work because there is no Java. How do I install Java on Android? I don't found help in Android forums.
Thanks in advance.

Base works fine without any Java with many popular database engines, ODBC drivers and with dBase.
Java on Android is called "Dalvik"(?)

Thank you for your answer, but i need to open .odb files attached in this and in Italian AOO forums when I am far from my computer.
I will look for Dalvik ...

You should ask the developers of AndrOpenOffice if their product supports JDBC/HSQL or any Java features at all.

Actually, the first time Base worked. I do not know what I did and it will not work anymore, uninstalling the app, resetting the tablet with the factory settings and reinstalling the app.
I have already asked the developer, but he does not answer.
