[Solved] OpenOffice will not open

Updated to OO 4.1.3 on 6/17/17. OS is Windows 7 Home Premium. All has been fine until this morning- in the middle of my work session no OO documents will open. Earlier in today's session, all was working properly. There have been no other changes to my system today or recently, and the malfunction began without any warning. Previously today I opened and edited several OO docs without incident. Suggestions?

Start TaskManager (Ctrl Shift Esc) and kill all "soffice" processes shown running on TM's Processes tab (Details tab on Win 10)

Possibly you closed OpenOffice and reopened it before the operating system internal housekeeping had finished.

ive downloaded it, but when i try to open it I just get the download box again?...have i downloaded it incorrectly...cant figure it out at all

Hi there

Open Office will suddenly not open. Have, as previously suggested, checked Task Manager and the word 'soffice' does not appear anywhere under the Processes tab. Lots of soffice.bin and soffice.exe are listed as
Disabled under the Details tab. No idea what that means.

Have you a suggestion for my next step?

Select each soffice process on the Details tab and then click the End task button. You may get a warning about losing data, which you can ignore. The process is already hung, so any data loss is past helping.
