[Solved] Written docs not converting to PDF correctly

Solved. I am having trouble converting written documents to a PDF format. I use the PDF icon in the header in between the edit file icon and the print icon. All I get is gibberish. I have down loaded the newest version. But get the same result. Can anyone help out please. Much appreciated.

What program do you use to open the PDF files?

I use windows home premium as my operating system and I am using open office 4.1.3. That is program I am trying to covert from. I am in a text document and try the pdf icon in the header.

If you open Acrobat reader first (usually installed by default) and then open your file, does it work?
If so, you need to change the file association of the PDF format. See: [Tutorial] Setting the default program to open files (to be adapted to .pdf).
