In the other application, select your data and /Edit /Copy (or Ctrl C). Switch to OpenOffice, click cursor at target location and /Edit /Paster (or Ctrl V). Sometimes one may use /Edit /Paste Special (Ctrl Shift V) and choose one of the options (Possibly "unformatted data") from the popup

The Control C & V syntax is correct, but it doesn't carryover to the Open Office document. What might prevent the carryover ?
Thanks, for the registration fix - you were precisely on the money with your instructions.

Note that (and this might be the problem) when pasting OO should have the focus - its Title Bar should be coloured to indicate OO is selected.
OpenOffice is very sensitive to applications which monitor the clipboard. The normal workaround is to suggest Pasting into (say) Notepad, then copy from that to OpenOffice.

You are precisely correct. I now have zero issues to address. Great software here, and great work from over there in Ireland b-t-w.
Thank you, so much for being available.
Sincerely,
