[Solved] The thesaurus appears empty

Post by 1980-f »

I've recently installed OpenOffice and have used it elsewhere. The dictionary is fine but the thesaurus appears empty. Any word I suggest to it comes up with nothing. It's set for English (UK). Any suggestions?

Is the thesaurus activated? Choose Tools - Options - Language Settings - Writing Aids, in the Available language modules list, select one of the language modules and then click Edit.

Search the offline help - F1 - for Thesaurus for more information.

You can try to reset your OpenOffice user profile. It will reinstall the dictionary.
If no change, make sure that the entries are checked, the opposite of what is explained in this post: Removing all these extra dictionaries I don't need (the screenshots should help).

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the edit button if your issue has been fixed.
