OpenOffice not showing tables and pictures

Does anybody knows why OpenOffice doesn't shows tables and pictures on old file, but when i open the same file in word on another pc everything is ok?

What is the format (three letter extension) of the file?

docx and odb, tried both no success

The .docx is an MS Word native format; its support on OpenOffice is not perfect. If it was made on OpenOffice then it may be corrupted, as OO does NOT save to .docx. An .odb file is a Base file, which should not open at all on MS Word.
