Not responding to Windows 10 update

I had some security updates for Windows 10 downloaded overnight.
Now I'm getting a Not Responding message when I try to open a document in OpenOffice.
I updated OpenOffice to 4.1.3 after receiving the message, and I still am receiving the Not Responding message..
Help!

Try starting TaskManager (Ctrl Shift Esc) and kill all soffice processes shown on TM's Details tab (Processes tab in earlier Windows).

soofice? is that the exact name? I can't find anything like that.

"soffice"; but if there are no office processes then the cause may be something else - perhaps "program needs elevation"
