Openoffice 4.1.2 crashes daily

I've been using Openoffice for many years but after installing 4.1.2 (I think I was on version 3.x before) it crashes constantly. Every time I log on Calc is no longer running. When I start it up it tells me that there are documents to be restored.
I have no clue what's causing the crashes and it's only my user (Administrator) who has problems. My other user that is logged in at the same time has no problems.
I'm mainly using Calc so I don't know for sure if other Openoffice applications are affected as well or just Calc.
I've tried renaming the user-directory as described but the problem persist.

Any idea what I could do?

After you renamed the user directory, were you prompted for name and initials on next logon?

Yes, that's right. I had to fill out those again.

Start Windows in Safe Mode. If OpenOffice runs stable in that mode, you need to look for some program/driver that runs in Windows normal mode which is interfering with OO.
