[Solved] Read Only Files
I have read the responses on this subject, but I guess I'm too dense to understand. So in simple terms how do I edit/save to edit/copy to edit a file? I have tried the Edit in the toolbar, but it doesn't ask me if I want to copy to be able to edit. Suggestions?

Why do you tell us what doesn't happen?
What happens when you hit the edit button?

Just to clarify, did you try the "Edit File" button on the Standard Toolbar or the word "Edit" on the Menu bar?LightEagle wrote:I have tried the Edit in the toolbar, but it doesn't ask me if I want to copy to be able to edit.

Does the menu selection File > Save As do what you want?
