[Solved] OO updates
[Solved] OO updates
When I open an OO doc, I get a note about available updates. I click it but nothing ever comes up. First, I want to know how to find these updates. Second, I want to know if I do them, will it affect any of the data I have stored in my present OO docs.

Re: OO updates
Normally (for me at least), clicking on the notification just opens a page in my web browser. I guess, if OO has trouble finding or starting the browser, or if the browser just opens the page in the background, it could appear that nothing happens.
The only updates I've noticed are new versions of the English dictionary extension.

Re: OO updates
Another way to do the updates is to ignore the Update message, then use /Tools /Extension manager and press the "Check for Updates" button". It may be that the update mechanism for OO 3,x is faulty. As Bill says, that version is 6 years old. Best to upgrade to 4.1.1

Re: OO updates
That is the latest. Try the /Tools /Extension "Check for updates" button.

Re: OO updates
No, but your signature says that you're using OOo 3.1 and you asked about OO updates, not updates for AOO 4.1.1.jmdraft wrote:It says: 4.1.1
Is their a newer version?

Re: OO updates
When I click on about, it says 4.1.1 so I guess this is solved.
Looked for edit but didn’t find how to update signature.

You go to the first posting in your query and choose Edit from icons at top right. Then you place [Solved] at beginning of Subject line and tick the checkbox under the green tick.
