[Solved] How to set default paper size to A4?

I'm using GNU/Linux Ubuntu 8.04, OpenOffice 2.4.1

Where can I define A4 as my default paper size for all OpenOffice applications and files? I have found the option to manually set paper size under Format > Page > Paper Format but wasn't there an option under Tools > Option > General in previous versions?

I will appreciate your hint.

I seem to remember an option like that as well but...
All you really need to do is change the default template. There's a guide here that can tell you how to do that.

hah! i found the setting that does this without changing the template (and does a bunch of other things besides). It is the lacele setting. To be found under tools->options->Language Settings->Languages. All you need to do is set the locale setting to a country weher A4 is the standard (which is most of the world) and you're set. Just be careful to keep an eye on the other things it changes.
