PDF files corrupted and won't open

All the pdf files in 'My Documents' plus any that come in via e mail are corrupted. I have used open office for some 10 yrs and this has only just happened. I use Open Office Org 2.0 and Windows XP. Anybody help?

I have found a way to change the PDFs I have to open in Google Crome so at least I can see them. However when they come in via e mail something is happening.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
What do you mean exactly? OOo cannot read PDF. You've to use a PDF reader for that (several possibilities). Is there a link with OOo?

You also using OOo V2.0. V3.2.1 with the PDF Import Extension can open PDF files in Draw for limited editing. Otherwise do as Hagar suggests.
