[Solved] Editing Standard Dictionary

Post by pouimet »

I'm using Calc in OO v2.3 and added a misspelled word in the Standard dictionary. Is there a way to get into the Standard dictionary to remove the word? I've looked in the Help information and can't find any information about editing the dictionary (standard.dic).

Tools>Options>Language Settings>Writing Aids, then in the right area, in the middle select the Standard entry and Edit button on the right.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

NB: I've moved your thread to the General section of the Setup & Troubleshouting forum.

For macOS it's
Preferences instead of Tools>Options
i.e.
(OpenOffice) Preferences>Language Settings>Writing Aids
OpenOffice 4.1.4 on Windows 10

Khasar, please don't necropost. This topic is 16 years old and was solved, thus there is no point continuing this discussion.
The trick about the Mac menu has already been provided dozens of times.
