When I leave a laptop, with an open OO text file, in STANDBY mode overnight, and modify that file the next morning, I cannot save it, I get the message: "Error Saving the Document. General Error. General Input/Output Error". My solution is: I copy the whole text and paste it into a new document; then, I close the original text file, and save the new document with the name of the original file; thus the corrupt file is overwritten, and the operation continues normally. This malfunction happens with the version 2.3.1 and a couple of previous ones. And it happens with Windows XP Home, (Amilo M 7400D), and Vista Home, (Medion MD 96360). I went through all 14 pages of the "OO Beginners' Forum" and did not find a relevant topic. Can anybody help? Thank you in advance.
