I have a huge list of numbers in a single column and I want them in paragraph form. Is there a way to find and replace breaks or ΒΆ(nonprinting character for break)? Find&Replace does this in MS Word.

Edit > Find & Replace
Search for: $
Replace with: (single space character)
Options/Regular expressions: YES
Click "Replace All"

Writer has a limit to how big a single paragraph can be--if you exceed it, it may silently discard some of your text. The limit is ~60,000 characters; somewhere around 15 pages.

Some hints here (in addition to the internal help file from OOo where there is a list of the regular expressions with examples): [Solved] Find line breaks/carriage returns.
