"Unknown Graphic Format" when opening spreadsheet

Post by Hummad »

Updated to OpenOffice 4.1.10 and now cannot open attached my old spreadsheet file. This has very important data for the last 20 years.

How are you trying to open it: by starting OpenOffice, then /File /Open, or by clicking on the file? What happens - is here any error message?

The file size is only 2 KB. It cannot contain any data. Do you have any back up copies? There is a tutorial here about recovering temporary copies. It is written for Writer but the same facts apply to Calc.

I agree with FJCC; there will be nothing usable in the uploaded file.

Did you perchance upgrade to OO 4.1.10 with your file open?

Thanks a lot gentlemen as I had old version since I was using MS OneDrive. I restored it and now it's working fine. Thanks a lot for your help!

With any file of importance one should make at least daily backups.
