[Solved] Recovery unsuccessful

Post by D P Dance »

When I try to open a file from my desk top I keep getting the message that a file which no longer exists, (I have deleted it) needs to be recovered. I then press the start recovery button and get the message "recovery failed" How can I sort this out?

Please keep your replies as simple as possible please, I am an 80 year old technophobe.

Press the "Cancel" button when prompted for recovery and you will no longer be annoyed by the Recovery prompt.

The Recovery prompt originates from an improper shutdown of the file, be that caused by an OpenOffice crash or a computer crash.
