Document Scrambled?

Post by jic1980 »

I have Apache Open Office 4 on my Dell laptop with Windows 10.

While working on a document, I accidentally dropped my phone on my laptop, and everything froze up. I manually re-started my computer. When I tried to get back into the document, a box came up that "ASCII Filter Options." I clicked "OK" and opened the document. Now it is 30+ pages of nothing but ####################################################################################

I've watched YouTube videos, run a couple of free recovery programs, to no avail. I welcome any advice.

How to find and un-delete AOO temporary files
Realistically your current document is useless. Read the above tutorial and try the steps located therein.
