Thanks to user 'acknak' for his work throughout the years

Apologies firstly if this thread isn't appropriate for this subforum, but I registered purely to message him and thank him. As I can't message directly (new user?) I thought I'd post in here.

The last post I saw from him dates back to 2013, where, as per all his posts he's being exceptionally helpful. Whether acknak still posts in 2017 I don't know.

I've been getting to grips with OpenOffice over the past few weeks and for almost every single thing I search for, acknak is there helping and remedying issues. Unlike many other forums he does it without condescension and with a brilliantly positive mindset in the way he goes about things. A true teacher.

Based on the simplicity of these searches I think it's safe to say I speak for many thousands around the globe when I say thank you acknak for your work on these forums, sincerely.

Cheers,
Bulmer

Apologies firstly if this thread isn't appropriate for this subforum ...

Seems ok to me. Feel free to add more ;-)

Seriously, thanks for your kind words. We have a great team here; it takes much more than any one. And I expect I can safely say that we're all here because we enjoy helping (and learning), because we appreciate how hard it can be to get started, and we want to support this excellent, community/free software.

So, even though it's not why we're here, necessarily, it's always nice to get positive feedback.

Thanks, and thanks for using and contributing to the forum: it takes a community to be effective.
