[Solved] Rule/s on signature

Post by Anuj Dhawan »

Hi,

I might be called as rookie for this thread but is there any rule for the signatures we can use here on this Forum?

I searched for it but I did not find much. And I think I found rather intresting links, in the process, that I forgot what I was searching for and enjoyed the other articles which are shared here! But nonetheless I still seek the answer for the subject line.

The only written rule I'm aware of is in the Survival Guide.

Thanks for the quick reply FJCC. I'm a mainframe-programmer and had a small forum on mainframes, thought if I can use that in signature. But as I understand it, rules deny it.

There are no strict rules on signature content here--we haven't needed any. Well, nothing other than blatant spam (commercial content) is not allowed.

Do what you like, if there's any problem, we can talk about it.

Great - Thanks for the green signal. :super:

Please see if it is against the Forum rule. If yes, I'll remove the link.

As a moderator, I don't find any trouble with links like yours, linked to a non-commercial activity. So personal sites or forums are OK as long as there is no content breaking any rule.

I browse regularly the profiles with links and remove the links that are not OK when I think so. For the moment, no user complained, I suspect that they don't even come back. A hint that this was indeed spam.
