Accessibility of the Forum

Post by orcmid »

I just encountered this post from Christophe Strobbe on [tdf-discuss]: http://listarchives.documentfoundation. ... 08109.html. Strobbe is active on the LibreOffice accessibility forum and is involved with the creation of Braille output from OpenOffice.org documents.

Has the choice of accessible schemes and other features of phpBB been discussed here before? (A search for "accessibility" suggests not.)

This may be important for the expanded availability of the Community Forums to individuals that are limited in their ability to use an unassisted, conventional browser interface.

Note to self: This applies to the wiki and the web site generally. Ensuring utility of the forums seems to be an important factor in reaching and supporting all users.
