[Solved] How to get help? Any live chat?

Post by joe2day »

How do I talk to some one about what I need to find out? Is there any type of live chat or something like that? Or do you have to ask a question and w till some one answers it?

There is no free "live" support that I am aware of. You can try the OOo support web page at http://support.openoffice.org/ to find paid support providers if you want 'on demand' help.

Just post the question in the appropriate section of this forum. You will not be asking the question to a particular person, but to everyone who visits the forum. Questions are often answered within an hour or two. Weekends are probably somewhat slower.

It will help to state your problem, what you have tried, what operating system and version, and what version of OOo and the application your using. If possible provide a copy of the file in question as that will often help.

I would like to set up a spreadsheet in open office to track my golf handicap. The big company that keeps a real handicap wants me to pay for it so it will be official, I just want it for the fun of it..... I can give someone all the information that would be needed to set up the spreadsheet I just don't know how to set it up ..Thanks very much Joe
