I am working with OO2.4 and like it. I downloaded OO3.0 Beta and didn't delete the 2.4. I really like the 3.0 and tried to download 3.0 Beta 2. I had forgotten that I was working on battery (I use a Dell Inspiron 640M) and also did not realize the battery was nearly exhausted when I began the download. While the down load was running I received a notice of battery failure and shutdown the system (stupid, I know but, I panicked).
When I was next where power was available, I tried to continue the download and found it would not continue beyond a certain point early in the process because "the application was "terminating Windows ++ early". Subsequent to this I tried to uninstall the Beta 2 and early in the uninstall received the same notice on failure of the uninstall. When I try to uninstall the Beta 1, the same phenomenon occurs.
How can I clean up the conflicts and get back to one version of OO 3.0, preferably the Beta 2?

Re: Can not uninstall OO3.0
In such case, I guess you've to delete the OOo installation folders and clean your registry with a good cleaner utility.

Re: Can not uninstall OO3.0
Have you tied a "Repair Install" of Beta1/2? If that succeeds, a subsequent uninstall is likely to succeed, too.

Re: Can not uninstall OO3.0
The OO3 program does not recognize the msi so repairs do not continue beyond looking for the OO3.msi file.

Re: Can not uninstall OO3.0
I'm not sure what you have at this point. You say you can't uninstall either Beta 1 or Beta 2, but as far as I know, they shouldn't both be installed at the same time. Since neither can be uninstalled, you can use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove both from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, but that will leave registry settings and program files in place. You should then be able to reinstall Beta 1 (be sure to install it in the same location). Once Beta 1 is reinstalled, uninstall it. That should clean up the program files and the registry settings for Beta 1. After Beta 1 is removed, download and install Beta 2.
