Tags and text blobs

I am looking for a way to store text blobs associated with tags in a database. Does the database in OO allow this type of storage/retrieval?

If not, perhaps someone can suggest another tool - this is something I'm looking for for my current book I'm writing.

I've never heard of text blobs. (Sounds vaguely disgusting... anything that comes in "blobs" is. )

Are you talking about the text associated with the tags? What exactly is the intent... what end result do you wish to achieve?
