Can someone advise if there is any MTD software available that will work alongside OpenOffice spreadsheets

Villeroy he may mean the Software for Making Tax Digital (V.A.T) if he lives in the UK.

Software does not fall from trees. Someone has to write it. If there happens to be some Python implementation, it could be easy to make a plug in for Libre/OpenOffice.

I and hundreds of UK residents would love it if Apache made a digital tax plug in for their software. The system is rolling out across the UK and I might have to go back to the dreaded microsoft office if I can't file the open office spreadsheets.
Programers of the world please make this happen and I will be forever greatful.
