Open a document, then /File /Export as PDF. Go with the defaults until you are familiar with the process.

thanks, but under my File tab, Export or Export as PDF is not an option. I have Save As, but no PDF option there either :-(

Have you restarted your computer since installing OO 4.1.4? From which site did you download the version of OO you are using?

I will do that, but think I just figured it out. I didn't open the file, just highlighted it, then opened it in OOWriter, then all works. thanks for your help!
