[Solved] Viewing PDFs
[Solved] Viewing PDFs
(SOLVED)
Hello.
I just installed OpenOffice and scanned and saved a document as a PDF but OpenOffice cannot open it in order to view it.
Will the PDF extension allow me to views PDFs that I created or is its function limited?

Re: Viewing PDFs
The PDF extension's function is limited to simple cosmetic edits of PDFs. For viewing of PDFs use Adobe Reader, or some other PDF reader.

Re: Viewing PDFs
To be clear OpenOffice is not designed to open PDFs for viewing purposes only?

Re: Viewing PDFs
OpenOffice is not designed to view PDFs. With the addition of the PDF extension it will allow limited viewing and limited cosmetic editing. Use a dedicated PDF viewer for serious work.

To be clear, all I want to do is view PDFs that I create and to open PDFs from trusted sources. I do not want to edit them.
Is viewing PDFs considered 'serious work' not suited for Open Office?

Re: Viewing PDFs
If someone else can answer my question, I would appreciate it since I am typing in plain English.
All I want to do is VIEW PDFs that I have created and those from trusted sources. I am NOT asking about editing PDFs or modifying them in any way.
Does the Open Office Extension allow viewing of PDFs or is it not designed to view PDFs at all? '

Re: Viewing PDFs
It is NOT designed to view PDF.
There are plenty of free PDF viewers available on the net.

Now you have been told this three times. Are you a believer in the "What I tell you three times is true" philosophy, as expressed in "The Hunting of the Snark"?
