Opening Works documents

Postby janie » Wed Dec 31, 2014 11:23 pm

I have a new laptop to which I have added Open Office. But, all my recipes on my old computer are in .wps files. I am advised that OO can open .wps files but I haven't been able to do it. Can someone tell me the process?

Try LibreOffice.

You can install near Apache OpenOffice on Windows (or: there is Portable version of the LO, too)
Tibor Kovacs, Hungary; LO4.4.7, LO5.3.7 on Win7x64Prof.
PortableApps, WinPenPack: LO3.3.0-LO5.4.2 and AOO4.1.3

Yes. You can do it with LibreOffice or with online file converters.

A useful online converter is at http://www.zamzar.com
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.4 on Xubuntu 16.04.03 (mostly 64 bit version) and infrequently on Win2K/XP

Current OpenOffice version does not open Works documents. Use http://www.zamzar.com to convert them.
