[Solved] Program Opening and reading a .pdf document.

A few days ago I downloaded Open Office onto my computer which is using windows 7 home Premium. Today I made a purchase online and copied the order confirmation to a .pdf file. I tried to open it in Writer and all I got is pages of letters and symbols. Can't seem to find any reference in the help sections. Does anyone here know what i should do ? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Write is not capable of opening PDF files. AOO can open PDF files with the proper extension in Draw. If you need to edit the file AOO is not the proper choice. if you just wish to view it and/or print it then use Adobe reader.
