[Solved] Does OpenOffice.org repair corrupt MS Office files?

Does OpenOffice.org repair corrupt MS Office documents? I don't know either it's true or a myth.
By the way I'm new here.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Sometimes AOO can open a document that cause troubles to MS Office but it's rather rare.

Please add '[Solved]' at the beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

I already knew that. I just wanted to make sure whether it does or not. I found someone in this forum talking about the same issue. Before replying in that thread I thought first let me be sure.
By the way, thanks for your instant response. :D

OK. I saw your other post in the meantime. So I confirm, there is no repair engine in AOO.
